About Us

A monsoon is a seasonal change in the wind’s direction, leaving many areas with wet and dry seasons. They blow from cold to warm climates, and they can be disruptive to daily life.

Hi, my name is Andrew Capper and I have been a meteorologist for almost 30 years now. My line of work specializes in the scientific principles used to explain and understand the earth’s atmosphere and how that affects everyday life.

Sounds complicated, right? Well, the basics of it is that I look to understand why the weather does what it does. Why do we get droughts or floods? Why are some areas of the world predisposed to tsunamis and tornados?

All of these questions need to be answered to protect people and keep them safe.

While monsoons are not talked about as much as other weather-related extremes such as blizzards and wildfires, they can still be dangerous to public safety.

I have created this website to help others remain as safe as possible when they are in danger of weather-related issues and for anyone that wants to learn more about the weather.

We’ll be looking at weather forecasting, clouds, and much more - so, if you’ve ever been fascinated by the weather like I have been since I was a young boy, this is the site for you. Enjoy!
